Selinus
Selinus is appropriate approx. 45 kilometers from Alanya far away and for 3 kilometers south of Gazipasa. The city is, where the Gazipascha river reaches the sea. Selinus is mentioned for the first time 117 A.D., because emperor Trajan on the way back of a campaign deceased against the Parten in Selinus. In memory of the emperor the city received the name Trajanapolis after its death for a short time. The mortal remnants of emperor Trajan were eingeaeschert and ash was transferred to Rome. The death of the emperor had undreamt-of advantages, the city for Selinus in consequence received from Rome financial support. These funds flowed into the advancement of the city and favoured success promising enterprises. In Selinus still remnants of the aquaduct, the theatre are, to see the public bath, the Basilika, the Nekropolis in the east and the Karawanserei. On the area of the Nekropolis a monumental grave (Hereon), typical for the region, finds.

Iotape
The origin of Iotape goes back on Roman and Byzantine epochs. It is however quite possible the fact that the city was already in former times created and at that time carried another name. After that at present well-known historical documents is the comma gene king Antiochos (38-72 n. Chr.) the city after its wife designated. During the regency of the Roman emperor Trajan (98-117 n. Chr.) up to the regency of emperor Valerian (253-260 n. Chr.) by the city Iotape own coins were coined. The buildings from Iotape unfortunately are in a very bad condition. The religious buildings lay probably in the east of the Akropolis approximately around the bay. With the first building it concerns a Basilika. It concerns a rectangular building with three ships. Later at the eastern side further construction units were added. For the building unbehauene stones, clay bricks and mortar were used. A further small church with a ship is in the northwest of the Basilika. A church, which is in east west direction, has two separate entrances, one of the west one of the south. In a niche is a strongly damaged Fresko, which represents Aios Georgios Stratelates.

Syedra
The ancient town of Syedra is found among banana fields located near the main road to southern Turkey. Like most ancient towns on the south coast it is divided into two parts - the harbour area from where all supplies were transported into the countryside and the inner city. In the inner city the population lived well protected by the thick city walls and the soldiers of the city. There is a fantastic view over the whole area and when the weather is good it is actually possible to see all the way to Alanya. Like hundreds of other ancient towns in Turkey, Syedra is neither fully excavated nor explored. The reason for this is lack of qualified personnel and finances.

Leatres
Leartes is because of the foot of the mountain Cebelires approximately 15 km in southeast direction of Alanya. We dont know much about Leartes, only that also here to time emperor Trajans coin. The Agora is one of the few well received remnants of Leartes. The north corner of the Agora exhibits remainders of seats in form of a semi-circle (Exedra). In this semi-circle met philosophers, artists, officials and scientists, in order to discuss extensively the questions of the time. In addition, the seat opportunities served for resting after getaner work.

Hamaxia
Hamaxia is appropriate for 7 km outside from Alanya, landinward toward the Taurus mountains. About the place we do not know much. The Roman historian Strabon wrote over Hamaxia that the city has many woods, which were needed for its time for the building of ships. Strabon continued to report that for this special reason Antonius of his wife Kleopatra Hamaxia likewise made the gift. To Elikesik the ruins come into range of vision. The ruins originate predominantly from Byzantine time, and are strongly over-grow. An old well close of a source at the foot of the city hill is used as cistern. Never Nekropole is because of the north slope. From above one has again a beautiful view of Alanya and the sea.
